February 18th will be used as a makeup day for students enrolled in Enka district schools. No school was held today (Jan. 18th) in the Enka district due to icy road conditions this morning. All other Buncombe County schools operated on a two-hour delay.

Feb. 18th will also be a regular classroom instruction day for the North Buncombe district - the only Buncombe County district to miss Jan. 4th due to snow. For all other attendance areas – Erwin, Reynolds, Owen, Roberson – Feb. 18th will remain a Teacher Workday (no school for students).

The makeup schedule for Thursday’s snow day will be announced next week.
