Letter from Mr. Keever re:flip flops

Dear Parents,
I understand some of the issues associated with asking students to wear shoes other than the rubber flip flops and strapless sandals.
The purpose for our request is purely based on student safety. We have observed that the frequency of foot related injuries is connected to the type of footwear a student wears.
Our main hallway is 1/8 of a mile long with steps, and the outside areas are rough concrete. When it rains rubber flip flops and shower shoes are particularly treacherous. If anyone is experiencing problems finding proper shoes, please let your grade level counsoler or myself know so we might assist.
Below are a couple of informative links I hope you will review.
Best Regards,

Tom Keever
