Hello! My name is Mrs. Lovejoy. I was born in Mexico and learned English as a second language even though my parents were American. I attended bilingual schools in four different Spanish-speaking countries and moved to the US when I was 18.
 
I graduated from Mars Hill College and taught Elementary School Spanish for 6 years. I have been at Emma for 12 years teaching ESL primarily to younger students.  I love my job! We have students from around 15 different countries who speak another language at home. Many students start out not knowing a word of English but learn to speak, read and write by the end of the year. It's exciting and rewarding to see their progress.
