Experience: 
1992-1996: Fairfax County Public Schools, Fairfax, VA.
I worked in security, as a school court probation counselor, coached and served as a substitute teacher while finishing my masters degree. 

January 1997 to January 2011: 14 years as a High School Counselor (grades 9-12) for James Madison HS, Fairfax County Public Schools, Fairfax,VA.

I was born and raised in the Washington D.C. area (Fairfax, Virginia) and worked for FCPS from 1992-2011. I moved to Asheville in January 2011 and began working as a school counselor at Erwin HS in January of 2011. As an avid lover of the outdoors, I am excited to be living in this beautiful area of NC! Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my husband, hiking (yes, that's a moose in the picture.. on a hike in Maine) camping, biking, water sports and gardening.
