  • Inviting parents to conference with teachers about their children’s academic performance.
  • Providing an annual meeting to inform parents of Title I and to explain the benefits and requirements of the Title I program.
  • Offering parent surveys to obtain information on topics of interest for parent workshops and convenient meeting times.
  • Providing materials and training to assist parents with their children’s educational needs.
  • Completing a Home and School Compact that outlines how parents, the entire school staff, and students will share the responsibility for improved student academic achievement.
  • Communicating with parents regularly in a format easy to understand and providing written translations to parents with limited English proficiency whenever practicable.
  • Encouraging parents to visit and volunteer in classrooms.
  • Providing transition programs for families entering Kindergarten and leaving elementary school transitioning to middle school.
