Ogle, Amanda (5th grade)

Welcome to Mrs. Ogle's 5th grade!  I am very excited about this year and the things that will happen in our classroom!  Fifth grade is a great year - it is amazing to see the changes that will happen in the lives of the students this year. 

 
Although I am new to Black Mountain Elementary this year, this is my seventh year of teaching fifth grade, and my third year working in the Black Mountain community.  I am a WNC native – I grew up in Fairview and graduated from Reynolds High School.  I received my B.S. in Education from Campbell University, and also hold a Masters in Library Science from Appalachian State University.  Prior to being at Black Mountain Elementary, I was the Media Specialist (librarian) at Black Mountain Primary for 2 years.  But I missed being in the classroom so much that I decided to return to teaching 5th grade (my favorite!).
