Meet our Fifth Grade Team...
 
Mrs. Marshall loves teaching, especially math! She is attending Western Carolina Univeristy to get her graduate degree in special education. Fall is her favorite season and she loves to play golf. She is looking forward to a wonderful year with the fifth grade team.

Mrs. Bennett  - I am happy to be a part of this wonderful team and teaching these great BME students. I’ve been teaching for five years and this is my first year here at BME. My favorite subjects are reading and writing. In my spare time I like spending time with my family, hiking, biking, gardening, and reading are some of my favorite things to do. 
 
Mrs. Helms grew up in Buncombe County Schools and is thrilled to be teaching at Black Mountain Elementary.  She has her undergraduate and graduate degrees in Elementary Education from UNC-Greensboro and Western Carolina, respectively.  In her free time, she enjoys outdoor adventures with her family, historical places, reading, crafts, snow, and college basketball. 

Mrs. Olge is very excited about this year and the things that will happen in our classroom!  Although she is new to Black Mountain Elementary this year, this is her seventh year of teaching fifth grade, and her third year working in the Black Mountain community. Her favorite subject is Math and in her spare time she loves to quilt, sew, and hang out with my family.
  
Mrs. Snyder loves teaching. She has been teaching for 4 years This is her 2nd year here at BME. Her favorite subjects ar Math and Social Studies. On her spare time she loves to read, fish and watch a good movie with family and friends. She also love to play board games.
