Fifth-grade students at Haw Creek have many opportunities to be involved in special programs during the school year.  One of those programs is the Safety Patrol.  Safety Patrol Officers assist car riders to get out of their cars between 7:30 and 8:00 each morning and to get in their cars between 2:30 and 2:45 in the afternoon.  Being a Safety Officer is an honor and requires a great deal of maturity and responsiblity. Students who participate are expected to be well behaved and to work hard to keep their grades average or above.
