The Dancing Ponies have two exciting performances this spring.  Look for a permission note to be coming home on February 18th.  See schedule below for dates. 
 
We are moving into the second half of the school year.  Here are the moves we currently can do:

Grade 2 Teachers
 
The Black Mountain Primary Dancing Ponies is a student club that  meets twice a month after school.  It is open to 2nd grade students.  The 2012 -13 year will be our second year at BMP. 
 
The focus of the club is traditional Appalachian Big Circle Mountain Dance.  This is usually referred to as “Square Dancing”.  This is partner dancing to music which involves dancing in one big circle, as partners, and sometimes in smaller circles of four.  Students do NOT need any previous square dance experience, just be willing to have FUN!
