ACES Safety Patrol

Member of Safety Patrol serve the Avery¡¦s Creek School Community by providing assistance and support to students, parents and staff. They are superb examples of strong student character and role models for committed service.

Job Roles

            Car Duty: Directing car rider traffic and helping students out of automobiles.

         Cafeteria Duty: Monitoring students in the cafeteria and ensuring that cafeteria supplies are properly disposed.

         Hall Monitoring: Ensuring that students are following the school rules prior to class.

         Lobby Monitoring:  Ensuring that students are entering safely and directing towards the cafeteria or classrooms.

         Front Door Duty:  Holding the door for students and staff who are entering the school.

Job Requirements

         Safety Patrol members are not allowed discipline referrals to the office.  If this occurs, the student will be suspended from Safety Patrol.

         Students must maintain at least a C average to remain on Safety Patrol.  If a student¡¦s average drops below a C during the nine-week period, the student will be suspended from Safety Patrol.

         A 3-strikes-you¡¦re-out policy will be used to monitor on-task behaviors during a student¡¦s rotation on Safety Patrol.
