Welcome to our bright, beautiful, and busy Media Center at Hominy Valley Elementary!  Kindergarten through 2nd-grade classes are scheduled for fixed 30-minute classes once a week.  They check out books and participate in activities which teach a variety of grade-level skills related to language arts, science, math, social studies, and information & technology essential standards.  Third, fourth and fifth grade classes come to the library on a flexible schedule for instruction. Teachers collaborate with the media specialist to plan units that teach important skills in both grade-level curriculum and information and technology.  

Our Media Center and classrooms are fortunate to have access to current technology tools such as Interactive Smart Boards, Document Cameras, iPads, and Laptops to compliment and enhance student learning.  As you look closer, you will see a wide selection of fiction and nonfiction materials including books, magazines, audiovisual materials, reference materials, and 25 desktop computers with access to a variety of online learning tools and software.
