ReTaP Review, Tutoring, and Practice

  • ReTaP stands for Review, Tutoring and Practice.  We offer free help with studying, homework, and projects.  Computers are available to do research, word processing, Plato or the new vocational program MiTreLa.  Teachers and student tutors are on hand to help with Turnitin.com and other software.  ReTaP meets in Room D127 (next to Art).  We will open for fall semester on Tuesday, September 5.
  • Students: ReTaP is free and available to anyone doing school related work.  If you are using computers, please avoid a common technical problem and use your student directory, email, or flashdrives for saving work.  We discourage the use of Floppy Disks (because experience tells us that they will eventually fail and tragedy will ensue – then all we can do is feel sorry for you.)

Hint: If you need some review in any core subject(science, math, social studies, English) ask a teacher to set up a Plato lesson for you.  We have new software for Biology and Chemistry and it is excellent!  Your vocational teachers now have material for you through MiTreLa.

  • Parents: ReTaP is a voluntary program, but we do keep track of student attendance.  If you want to know if your student has been attending, please feel free to call 670-5000 ext 411.  Students needing to be picked up should meet their ride in front of the school within 10 minutes of leaving ReTaP.
  • Teachers: We will also administer make up quizzes, tests, and other work. Just bring the assignment to the lab and place it in our file folder.  Make up work can be picked up by the teacher or we will place it in your box on Friday or Monday.  Work put on file by a teacher in ReTaP must be completed in ReTaP – we do not allow these papers to leave the room with a student.

Hint:  If you are having students turn in a project via turnitin.com, make 8:00 AM on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday the time due.  We will be glad to help students get their assignments in (if they come in with time to do it!) and you will not have to hear all the “my computer broke – the internet failed” excuses!

Monday: Closed on Mondays

Open Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays:    

Mornings 7:00 to 8:00

                      Afternoon  3:00 to 5:00

Fridays:          Mornings Only :  7:00 to 8:00
