The Erwin Booster Club, Inc. is an organization of parents and community members dedicated to improving athletics in the Erwin School District.  Through its fundraising activities, the Booster Club subsidizes much of the cost of providing our student athletes with equipment, uniforms and facilities.  Many people are not aware that the school system does not provide high schools with money for athletes.  The only source of funding is gate receipts from athletic events, team fundraising efforts and money raised by the Booster Club.  Football and basketball are revenue sports that generate more money than is required to the sports.  Typically these sports must fund all of the other non-revenue sports.  In recent years, the Booster Club has worked to help fund the non-revenue sports so revenues from football and basketball can be used to make these programs stronger.
