EC Teachers
Nancy Rhodes is a graduate of Boston University with a masters degree in Special Education. She is also a highly qualified teacher in middle school language arts and National Board certified as an Exceptional Needs Specialist. Nancy and her husband moved from Massachusetts to North Carolina in 1996. They live in Fairview. Nancy has been a Special Education inclusion teacher in the 6th grade at Cane Creek Middle School since 2001.
Gail Johnson teaches 7th Grade Inclusion Language Arts and Math classes at Cane Creek. Her certifications include Special Education:General Curriculum, Cross Categorical, Middle Grades Language Arts, Middle Grades Social Studies, Elementary Education, and Social Studies 9-12. She is also highly qualified based on the NC HOUSSE standards in Exceptional Children (EC) Language Arts, EC Math, EC Science and EC Social Studies. Gail has been teaching at Cane Creek since the school opened in 2000. She and her husband live in Fairview, NC.
Todd Robertson teaches 8th grade inclusion Language Arts and Math classes, as well as resource math classes. He earned a Masters Degree in Special Education from Western Carolina University. His certifications include special education and middle school math. He is also highly qualified in the areas of special education, math, language arts, science, and social studies. He has been a special education teacher at Cane Creek Middle since the school opened in 2000. Todd enjoys living in Fairview, NC with his wife and three kids.
Keith Bogardus earned his Bachelors degree in History at Southern Connecticut State University. For over ten years he worked in various settings helping individuals with mental and physical disabilities find happiness and fulfillment in their careers and personal life. After moving to Asheville, he started attending Western Carolina to earn his teaching certificate in Special Education. Since then he has worked at Ira B. Jones Elementary School and Talisman Academy, a private boarding school for individuals who primarily fall on the autism spectrum. He comes to Cane Creek to teach Resource Language Arts and Math across grades 6-8 and with the hope of working with an even broader group of students.
