Following final tweaking that resulted from parent and staff surveys and comments, the Board adopted new Mission, Vision and Core Beliefs for the school system at their Nov. 3, 2011 meeting.
Paper copies of individual school report cards will go home with students the first two weeks of November, and can be viewed on line now.

Buncombe County Schools will be well represented on both the high school and middle school Honor Choirs at the NC Music Educators Conference in Winston-Salem.
The National Association for Tech Prep Leadership awarded the "Employer Partnership Recognition National Award" to the Asheville-Buncombe-Madison Career Pathways Partnership at their conference on October 12.
The NC Department of Public Instruction has designated these two schools "Green Ribbon Schools" in recognition of the effort by staff and students to create a positive learning environment.

Following a 2-day clinic on October 17-18, a free concert for the public will be held Tuesday evening, October 18 at 7pm at First Baptist Church, Asheville. 125 students from Reynolds, Owen, Erwin, Enka, North Buncombe, and Roberson High Schools will participate in the event.
