We have several events and activities coming up to raise awareness and funds for Eblen Charities. The week of Oct 20-24 is Eblen Spirit Week with a different theme each day. Dress up, have fun, and support Eblen with donations to purchase paper pumpkins. Then, Friday, Oct 24 is the Pumpkin Playoffs - a Dodgeball Tournament open to all CCMS students. Click here for more info. Thanks for your support for this important local charity.
The Solar Schools Challenge is a contest between Buncombe County Schools to see who can get their school and community the most excited about solar energy. Cane Creek has their own solar website http://canecreekmiddle.ncsolarschools.org/ which I will be loading with lots of information and documentation of student involvement.
Please click for more information.
Cane Creek was one of two schools in Buncombe County that received all "A's" from NC prevention Partners for the 2013-14 school year.
Buncombe County Schools' Graduation Initiative will again be offering the Twilight School program for high school students to earn new credits or recover credits in the evening. Any student who has failed a course and needs to repeat it or any student who needs a new course to get back on track for graduation may apply.
BCS Middle and High School students will have the opportunity to earn credit for high school courses. It is an opportunity for an individual student who has an exceptional mastery of course content and who wishes to earn credit and move on into something more meaningful or challenging.
This opportunity is part of the district’s Enrollment for Education Solutions (EES) agreement and will provide students with a tool for learning at home using the most current, universally accepted platforms in the marketplace today.
