Many of you still owe time.  All make up attendance MUST be completed by May 31.  If you are over six days in any of your classes you will not get credit until the time is made up.  If this is not done by May 31, you will have to go to attendance summer school!  This means you will not walk across the stage with your class.  You will graduate in July instead.

Attendance Make-Up is held every day after school until 4:30 with Mrs. Ebner AND on three Saturdays; April 20, May 11, and May 18.

2.       Final Exams

You must take and pass your final exams in order to receive credit for a class.

3.       On May 15 you will complete your Official Graduate Survey in Rocket Power.

You need to complete this survey and give it back to your mentor teacher on that day.  It is very simple, BUT you need to mark what your plans are for after high school. In other words, after the summer what will you be doing?  Please only check one box and fill in the information requested.  Please take this seriously it is for a report that I must send to the State of NC. If you are absent on this day, see Mrs. Krisher to fill out the form as soon as possible.

4.       Senior Clearance Sheets will be distributed on May 22 in mentoring

Every senior MUST complete a Senior Clearance Sheet.  You will need to get signatures from your 1st and 2nd semester teachers, the library, cafeteria, and any sports team or JROTC.  This requires a lot of follow through on your part.  These forms need to be completed and turned into your mentor teacher as soon as possible but NO LATER THAN JUNE 5th at 1:00.  If your clearance sheet is not completed, your diploma will be held until you get it finished.

Yes, EVERYONE must get a signature from the Cafeteria and Library even if you have never set foot in either place.

Get signatures for these classes from:

Sr. Release – No signature needed, just write in “Sr. Release”

Online classes – Mrs. Beckman will sign

AB Tech classes – Mrs. Krisher

If you are going to college in the fall make sure to list the school you will be attending.  We will send them your final transcript this summer, but only if you list it on the Clearance Sheet.   This is the only way to get your final transcript sent at the end of the year.  DO IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If you lose your senior clearance sheet, you will have to see Ms. Brigman and pay her a dollar.   Everyone must have a clearance sheet signed by 1st and 2nd semester teachers, coaches, library, and cafeteria.  Failure to complete one will hold your diploma!  You must turn these into your MENTOR TEACHER as soon as they are complete or NO LATER THAN JUNE 5 at 1:00 pm.

5.       Graduation Tickets

Every senior will get 8 tickets for graduation.  If you need more than 8, they will cost you $3.00 each.  Mrs. Krisher will be taking orders for extra graduation tickets on May 20-24 ONLY during lunch.  See me in the cafeteria and bring your money!  The actual tickets will be distributed on June 7th at graduation practice.

6.       Senior Class Picture.

A tradition continues this year!  A photo will be made of the entire class, in their caps and gowns.  The picture will take place on Thursday May 23rd in the gym at 7:30 AM.  Seniors need to bring their cap and gown and BE ON TIME.  YOU WILL GET ORDERING INFORMATION IN ROCKET POWER ON MAY 15TH.  Payment will be made to LIFETOUCH.  You may bring your order on the day of the photo, or bring it to Mrs. Krisher the next day.

Don’t forget you must ride the bus to senior picnic.  There are no exceptions to this rule.  If you need to come back early don’t worry we will run a couple buses back as needed.  Feel free to bring a snack and an empty water bottle which you will be able to fill at the site.

 THINK SUN! R

Don’t forget your permission slip is due NO LATER than MAY 3.  No exception,  no extentions!

Rehearsal will be from 8 until 10 on the morning of June 7th.  We will be in the Civic Center Arena.  You must attend practice in order to walk across the stage on Saturday. If you are not going to walk please let me know as soon as possible.  Be on time to practice.  You will need to pay to park so I suggest you carpool.  Make sure you leave yourself plenty of time to find a parking space and walk to the auditorium.  You will receive all of your graduation tickets at graduation practice.

10.   Graduation

On Saturday, June 8th we will gather in the holding room upstairs.  Use the set of stairs that are in the lobby as you enter.  YOU MUST ARRIVE NO LATER THAT 10:15 and don’t forget your cap and gown.  Important information:

·         Only people with tickets will be allowed inside the civic center.

·         Wear appropriate clothing under your gown.  Girls remember that the white gowns can be seen through.

·         No smoking any where in the building

·         When your name is called you will receive an empty diploma cover.  You will go across the stage, and your parents can stand and be proud.  After the ceremony you will need to go back upstairs and find your mentor teacher.  They will give you a big manila envelope with your diploma, unofficial transcript and report card.

·         Those of you not participating in the ceremony can pick your diplomas up from Ms. Brigman after June 10th.

·         If your diploma was held for any reason, it will not be brought to the Civic Center.  You will have to come back to school and clear things up.  One of the administrators can then get you your diploma.

áInappropriate behavior at graduation could result in holding of your diploma until community service is served at ACRHS.  Remember, the graduation service is for everyone, not just individuals.

11.   NEW THIS YEAR!!
