CHARACTER EDUCATION

Hominy Valley Elementary School will be emphasizing the importance of good character by teaching vocabulary, encouraging service projects and analyzing traits of character education. Each month a special character trait will be emphasized in all Buncombe County Schools.

September: Responsibility               January:    Honesty

October:     Respect                          February:   Courage

November: Citizenship                    March:       Fairness

December:  Caring                           April:         Self-discipline

Students may be recognized at school for exhibiting the character trait of the month.  Please be aware of this emphasis and look for opportunities at home to build on the concepts being introduced at school.

I will be a good SPORT on my Hominy Valley Elementary TEAM because Together EveryoneAchievesMore.  This is who I am even when no one is looking.
