   I am so excited to be back at Haw Creek for another school year.  This will be my third year teaching at HCE and seventh year teaching overall.  I have previously taught 4th, 5th, a 4/5 combo, and middle school EC.  I have loved my time here so far and am looking forward to a great 2012-2013. 

   

   A little about me:  I received my undergraduate degree in 2003 from UNC-Chapel Hill in Psychology.  After that I went to graduate school at UNC-Greensboro where I earned a M.Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction in 2005. 

 

   I have been married to my wife Julia for over six years.  Our first child was born June 2010.   We also have two dogs, a lab puppy we adopted from Brother Wolf and a three year old terrier mix named Griffey. 

   I enjoy most sports, both watching and attempting to play.  I like being able to go into the community and see my students participating in different sports and activities.  I am constantly impressed by the talents that my kids can show in a setting outside of school.
