This is my first year teaching at Woodfin Elementary School.  I recently moved from Raleigh, NC to Asheville, NC where I taught within the Title 1 Reading program at an elementary school for 3 years. 

 

Although I lived in Raleigh for three years, my heart is in the mountains of NC.  I attended Appalachian State University (Go Mountaineers!) in Boone, NC.  I received my undergraduate degree in Special Education and masters degree in Reading Education.  I am certified to teach K-12 in Reading as well as in Special Education.  I love working with students who are learning new reading strategies and behaviors! I will be teaching students (K-4) research based strategies that will help them to improve their skills in reading and become successful readers. 

 

Woodfin has a great group of knowledgeable teachers that are going to help our students set and meet many academic goals this year!
