On September 5, 2014, the Charles T. Koontz Intermediate PTO will hold our First Annual Glow Run/Walk. The Charles T. Koontz Intermediate PTO works to raise money to support educational and enrichment programs for over 700 South Buncombe fifth and sixth grade students who attend Koontz Intermediate.
“Koontz Challenge” is Koontz PTO's fall fundraiser. Koontz PTO has two goals for the “Koontz Challenge” campaign. First of all, we want to encourage exercise and stress the importance of being physically fit to all of our students. Second, we need to raise money to support our school. This year our goal is to raise over $15,000 for Koontz. Students that help us meet these goals are awarded prizes. It is based on the NFL's Play 60 campaign developed to encourage physically active lifestyles and help fight childhood obesity. The concept is similar to a walk-a-thon but exercising 60 minutes per day for 7 days.
As a member of this team, you will develop a variety of media production skills. You will learn about the care and maintenance of digital production tools, the use of Ipads and PC's to create digital audio and video productions, and the technical aspects of audio and video post-production and distribution through our school network. You will be the leaders in the production and distribution of our daily school announcements. In addition, you will be leaders in teaching other Koontz students about how to produce audio, video, and animations using the Ipad. This is a serious job that requires committed students. If we do our job well, we should have a lot of success, learn a lot about digital production, and have a lot of fun. Click on the image to apply.
