Announcements

A team of Buncombe County classroom teachers collaborated in a National Science Foundation Research Grant. The team traveled to Boston for seminars, met monthly with their group facilitator, and engaged in action research in their classrooms. The classroom episodes the teachers wrote, based on this work, have been published in the book : Connecting Arithmetic to Algebra by authors Bastable, Shifter and Russell. The book is now being used as the text for graduate courses.
