Looking for a way to support Woodfin students and teachers? Recently several Woodfin teachers have created project proposals on DonorsChoose.org, a website that helps donors find teachers and schools that need funding for projects that directly benefit students. Visit http://www.donorschoose.org website and search by state, school district and then school name to see what projects Woodfin currently needs help funding. This year Mrs. Peele, our resource teacher, received special seating called Hokki stools and other classroom supplies. Also, this year Mrs. Lunsford, our media specialist, has received 1 digital camera, several graphic novels, the latest Caldecott and Newbery winners and many other books for our students. DonorsChoose.org does work and your donation is tax deductible!! Please help support Woodfin students and teachers!
Congrats to Amy Clouse and Edna Ruth Holt. Mrs. Clouse is our teacher of the year for 2014-2015. She is one of our second grade teachers. Mrs. Holt shines as the assistant for the second grade teachers. Each of the winners has a special designated parking spot in the staff parking lot. Their names will also be place on the Teacher of the Year and Teacher Assistant of the Year plaques, which hang in the school's reception area. Thank you to both of these wonderful ladies for making Woodfin a wonderful place to learn and grow!
