  • Prom Tickets on Sale 
    Tickets are now on sale until May 6th for $40 in Ms. Moses' room, 2305, in the math hall. You can only buy tickets before or after school. Students must turn in a signed dress code form prior to buying their ticket. We are also selling EHS Prom lanyards for $3 in the cafeteria.  Prom is May 10th at the Crest Center.

    Please note that juniors enrolled in English III during 2013-14 will begin their Graduation Project during English IV (senior year). Juniors are welcome to get advance approval by submitting a Proposal Form to their English III teacher and begin work on their Graduation Project prior to their senior year.

  • Erwin Students Receive NCHSAA Awards

    Molly Kerr and Ben Hodges were 2 of 15 athletes selected from across the state for the NCHSAA Heart of a Champion Award. Molly received her award in Durham on Saturday, April 12th. Ben will receive his at the Erwin Athletic Banquet in May. Click on the link to find out more about NCHSSA.

  • Erwin celebrates World Book Night!

    Erwin celebrates World Book Night! Students, do you want to win free books? Erwin will celebrate World Book Night on Wed, April 23rd, with 18 teachers giving away 380 free books throughout the school! The Media Center will host book give-aways during all lunch periods on Wed, Apr 23. Just show up during your lunch period and ask for a free book! Free books include Code Name Verity, Me and Earl and the Dying Girl, The Ruins of Gorlan, Sunrise Over Fallujah, Wild, and The Zookeeper’s Wife.   • Congratulations Sarah Horn, DAR Winner

    Sarah Horn won the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) award for the Ruth Davidson Chapter. “This award recognizes and rewards individuals who possess the qualities of dependability, service, leadership, and patriotism in their homes, schools, and communities. These students are selected by their teachers and peers because they demonstrate these qualities to an outstanding degree.” Sarah was recognized at a local meeting with a plaque.   • National Library Week Celebration

    National Library Week was April 13th -19th. Erwin High School's Media Center celebrated National Library Week by giving away free books to staff and students. Students and staff came come by daily (4/14-4/18) and registerd to win free books. To see the 2014 Library Appreciation winners click on the above link.

  • Congratulations FCCLA Students!

    Twelve Erwin High FCCLA students competed in Greensboro in Students Taking Action with Recognition at the FCCLA 2014 North Carolina Leadership Meeting. All twelve students won first place in their STAR event and will be competing on the national level. Click on link for more information.

  • High School Registration for Rising 9th Graders (Current 8th Graders)

    Rising ninth graders and their families will be registering for high school courses March 24th - 27th. Students are asked to attend an evening based upon their last name. If families need the assistance of an interpreter they should come on the 24th. Click on link for schedule.

  • BCS Discount Card Fundraiser

    The Buncombe County Schools Foundation kicked off the county-wide fundraiser on Friday, February 7, 2014, with the Buncombe County Schools Saver Card. The card offers discounts with local businesses and can easily pay for itself with just one use!

  • Meritor Supports Erwin

    Meritor, a Fletcher, NC based manufacturing facility donated $1000 form the Meritor Trust Fund in support of Erwin High School. Richard Robinson from Meritor presented the donation to Erika Corn, Student Body President and Dr. Brown, Principal. Thanks to Meritor for their support of Erwin High School.
